I'd buy it again

I bought my first Danby counter top dishwasher about 3 and a half years ago, when we downsized from a 3000 sq ft house, to a little less that 1000 sq ft. As you can imagine space for things was at a premium. The new house did not have a dishwasher and I did not want to loose cabinet space to install one. I found that the Danby would fit nicely under the upper cabinets while setting on the counter, so I bought it on fit alone. Luckily it also turned out to be a great little machine. I have been very pleased with its style, performance and with dealing with the company. So pleased in fact, that I bought my daughter one for her rental that did not have a dishwasher. Getting it up and running was not with out incident though. First, I did not put the washer in the connection to the outlet side of the water supply, so every time I used it there was water on the counter, install washer, problem fixed. Secondly, after a few months the dial started to stick, with a quick call to the service department, I found out I was using too much detergent, they told me to add a cup of vinegar (no soap) and run it through a cycle. Once I did that, and started using the right amount of detergent the sticking became history. I still add vinegar every two or three months because it keeps the inside and my glasses sparkling.
After about 6 months, my daughters Danby started leaking around the door. When I called Danby and explained what was going on, they knew exactly what was wrong, and sent the piece I needed to fix it, without cost, (if it had been out of warranty, the part would have only cost $16.00). When the part arrived 3 days later I called the service department back and they walked me through the installation. I would buy and/or recommend this product again with out a second thought.
