Horrible - DO NOT BUY

I got this for a christmas present and was pleased with it AT FIRST. The camera seemed like a good buy for the money and was fairly easy to use. I used it maybe 5 times and always put it back in the box after each use, it was never abused in any way. Today I went to use the camera and after powering it on I noticed the screen had white and blue lines running through it and I could not see or make anything out (not even the menu). I searched for the website and found the service number (long distance!) and gave them a call. I explained what the issue was and the tech told me that she would issue a return so they could fix it (at my cost for shipping!) I was very unpleased needless to say. I explained that I as a customer should not have to pay long distance charges and shipping fees to return a product only a few months old that has stopped functioning for no apparent reason, after all I didnt do anything to make this piece of junk stop working. She also stated that I cant ship it back in the original box! That means I also have to pay for packing materials and a new box! Again I was very displeased but agreed because I have no other option. I was then asked for my information and then disconnected/hung up on!!! I then had to call (long distance) once again...Grrrrrr!. At this point I was just plain mad! I called back and spoke with a supervisor and told him that I was already paying long distance, shipping, and packing materials to fix a junk product they had sold me, and that I better not get "disconncted" again! He said he understands my frustration...yea right! I cant believe the system these people have set-up, why should any customer who has purchased their defective junk have to pay long distance just to ask a question? Why should we have to pay for shipping and packing material as well? Most of all the fact that she said I CANT ship it back in the box it was shipped in really aggrevated me. That is just plain stupid and an unnesscessary cost to the poor customer who is already out big time!

My advice is STAY AWAY from any and all products made by this company! They have poor products ...obviously, and have extremely poor service. I have never in all my life even heard of such poor service and will never buy a product with their name on it again. I will deter anyone who will listen from getting stuck in the situation Im in now. If you value your time and money, Stay Away from DXG!!
