Excellent camera

by   dsmines ,  Jun 22, 2005
Pros: For the $$ can not get a better camera. Plug and play with Windows XP.
Cons: Moving objects.. No way. Shutter speed is too slow. Low lighting conditions... forget it.
The Bottom Line: This is an excellent camera for the beginner. It is very easy to use and is plug and play compatible with Windows XP
Review: My company purchased this camera for all Lead Techs in the field for taking pictures before, during and after Network Conversions. I used the camera in 42 cities for 16 weeks and found it to be very easy to use. I could get shots of the whole data center ...

Pretty good little underwater snapshot camera

by   seventronics ,  Apr 17, 2006
Pros: Small, accepts AA NiMH, often with waterproof housing, kids can take INTO the beach!
Cons: Long "shutter" delay, long recovery time between shots, controls limited in waterproof housing
The Bottom Line: Good for the price as an underwater snapshot camera.
Review: Even though the DXG-308 is a bit dated, it can be found on special at some stores such as CompUSA for under $75 with the underwater housing. I've had this since just before Christmas 2005 and am surprised at how well some photos come out. There are a ...

Great camera!

by   jimmy545 ,  May 29, 2005
Pros: Small, sleek design. Easy to use. Great for beginners.
Cons: Can't force flash. Not good in low light conditions.
Review: This camera is great for beginners. It has no optical zoom, which is a downer, plus the flash is a little too bright, and you can't force it to use flash. For the most part though, this is a great camera for beginners, and I'm definitely glad I got it. ...

Ideal Tourist Camera with the underwater case

by   dougtm ,  May 31, 2005
Pros: Small size, lots of features, great at the beach or ski hill
Cons: No optical viewfinder
Review: I bought this camera with the underwater case (DXG 308U). I wanted a digital that I could use boating and on vacation at the beach. I do miss an optical viewfinder when it's not in the waterproof case, especially in low light shots. Once it's in the ...

Pros: Small, easy to carry around, easy to upload, I love it.
Cons: Hard to take picture in low light(picture turns out but have to guess.

Pros: I have been able to download a lot of pictures now. Pictures are very clear.
Cons: speed needs improving with taking photos

Snapping Off Shots With My DXG-308

by   Dbbum ,  Jan 8, 2005
Pros: Small design, lightweight, good price, easy to use, acceptable quality
Cons: Poor quality in low light environments, no viewfinder lcd screen only, some unusable shots
The Bottom Line: DXG-308 is a good starter cam at 3.0 mega pixels, probably unusable to photo professionals.
Review: Thanks to the wonderful folks at Epinions.com I now have a DXG-308 3.0 Mega pixels digital camera. I wasn't expecting such an elaborate gift as a Christmas bonus but I am very appreciative. So my gift to Epinions.com is writing a review on the camera! ...

Better Than A Web Cam

by   dave_knows ,  Nov 26, 2004
Pros: Loaded with features, small, and light.
Cons: Mediocre resolution and light sensitivity.
The Bottom Line: I would recommend this camera as an inexpensive supplemental camera for all computer camera needs and for casual picture taking, but not as your only camera.
Review: This little digital camera is loaded with big ticket camera features, and some surprising innovations. The 3.0 MPixel resolution is not quite crisp enough for professional or keepsake quality picture taking, yet it is a capable camera for those who ...

Pros: Some pictures came out great, some so so. Good color, easy to use.
Cons: LCD eats batteries.
Review: My unit came with the optional Underwater housing. Housing is good for 15feet depth. Some pictures came out great, some so so. Good color, easy to use. LCD eats batteries so I used the High end Ni-cad and got better battery life. The flash is kinda ...

by   nikkipoo ,  Jun 21, 2005
Pros: cute & compact, has nice features & LCD
Cons: it flashes whenever it feels like it, it's always busy
Review: This camera is cute and compact. It is very impressive for the money that the customer has to pay for it. It has great features. Just as much features that a camera that is more money than it has. The main option that is a con about the camera is that it ...
