I love my Dyson!

I bought my Dyson over a year ago; I’ve been very happy with it. Previously, I had owned a Hoover and Eureka. This is a big step up! This vacuum’s suction is very strong. Be careful that you don’t run over the cord or anything else that you don’t want picked up.

I like the clear container that holds the dirt. You can actually see how much dirt you are vacuuming up. You will be very surprised the first time you use it. Emptying the cleaner is a snap, just push the release button and the bottom of the container opens and the dirt can be put into a trash sack.

It is easy to push. I hate to say it’s light-weight, because it is rather heavy to be carrying to different floors. I live in a 1.5 story and we do carry it between the different floors, but it is heavy.

It comes with quite a few accessories, and I’ve been happy with them too. The attachment for the stairs works very well. The hose is very elastic. I can leave the vacuum at the bottom of the stairs and go up the stairs with no problem. Very handy!

The vacuum does need some maintenance, but it is quite easy. The manual states that the filter needs to be washed at least every 6 months. The first time I cleaned it I was somewhat apprehensive, but it was not a problem. Just follow the directions in the manual. You do need to do some planning because the filter needs to be dried for 12 hours before using. The clear plastic shroud can be removed completely from the rest of the canister. It just needs to be wiped down with a cloth.

I had been eyeing the Dyson for awhile, but spending that much money on a vacuum was difficult. It was a wise choice. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for.
