COMCAST CUSTOMERS: This modem IS NOT compatible w/ Comcast w/o reloading Firmware!

The Bottom Line: Everybody else's product IS compatible with Comcast without having to spend an hour attempting to (unsuccesfuly) reconfigure the modem's firmware! Get something- ANYTHING else. It is money well spent.

This Modem Dies - Here's How To Recover

The Bottom Line: It's not worth $1 to me. It does not operate as continuously as I need a cable modem to operate. It's that simple.

Unreliable modem. (I've had 2 of them now)

The Bottom Line: Get SMC model SMC8004CM instead. This D-Link DCM-202 is a pain. Unfortunately the SMC8004CM is not found on epinions at the time of this writing.
Review: I originally purchased this for my brother. I was initially impressed by the small size so instead of provisioning it for him, I decided to keep it & set him up with my very reliable Toshiba pcx2200.
