Deja Vu - See previous review

I purchased this unit to replace a Black & Decker Unit that was highly rated when I purchased it about 6-7 years ago. It still worked fine, but it was beginning to look a little crusty and funky after heavy use. I went to a Bed & Bath and scanned all the brands, Krups, B & D, Toastmaster, etc.. They had about 8 or so to choose from. I narrowed choice down to Krups and Cuisinart. Cuisinart won out because of slighty larger capacity over Krups Pro Chef model. I CAREFULLY selected my box, one with no dents or scratches as could be a sign of internal damage. Went to Trader Joes, bought a couple of swordfish steaks, some fava beans and Chianti, and went home to prepare the feast to end all feasts. As I removed the unit, a control knob danced out the box and across the floor. A sick feeling went through me, and sure enough, the feast was aborted because the unit came pre-broken, the same knob the previous reviewer spoke of. I think this could be a recall issue don't you think?
