True Love at Last
Date of Review: Dec 28, 2007
The Bottom Line: I adore my Cuisinart Processor and can't imagine life in my kitchen without it. I believe this model should be a staple for every gourmande's kitchen.
This model represents my introductory processor in the land of food processors (if you will). Some heck of a "first" for me, eh? Well, I researched many processors prior to selecting my Cuisinart; I even touched, prodded and played with a few at my local stores prior to selection. I chose this model simply because I was already a Cuisinart fan (my first Cuisinart purchase was their mini chopper...how I enjoy that device, too!); and, I knew they typically had stylish designs that offered quality results at reasonably affordable prices. This processor was in fact above my price point; however, I had family members contribute to my "Processor Fund" at holiday time, which made the purchasing of this machine doable for me.
I've had my trusty Cuisinart processor for at least 5 years now and have decided that it is not only worth it's price; but, should be a staple for EVERY would-be gourmande. This is a great investment...yes, I consider it an investment! With this gadget my pie crusts are flawless, my hummus' and cheesecake textures are consistent, and I am the star of every party I have due to the flawless food the processor helps me create...with time to spare for all the last minute party touches I need to make. Martha Stewart ain't got nothin' on me! I LOVE MY CUISINART PROCESSOR!
All of this processor's parts and engine-body are smooth and easy-breezy to clean. The ONLY "con" I can mention is that I wish the bowl didn't cloud after numerous dishwashing cycles (I now clean mine by hand to prevent further clouding of its plastic.) I honestly don't know how Cuisinart could modify the bowl to appease this "con," as it being plastic is the wisest choice. After all, a metal or glass bowl would render the weight of the overall machine, and annoy me more than anything. So, my hats are off to Cuisinart, and with my many, many successes from the Processor, I have become a loyal Cuisinart customer (outside of my Kitchenaid Mixer, that is!)
