Faster than a Mini Coupe

by   snowflake224 ,  Feb 6, 2007
Pros: Finely chopped, nicely ground items, attractive, easy to use, easy to clean, light-weight
Cons: Must precut some items to ensure even-ness, Longer cord desired.
The Bottom Line: The Cuisinart Mini-Prep Plus may be small, but it packs a big punch.
Review: The Cuisinart Mini-Prep Plus was a wedding gift. We previously had a no name mini processor and registered for the Cuisinart because of its reputation and the size was just right for our kitchen and needs. Description: The mini prep plus has a ...

Handy Mini-Sized Food Processor

by   macrotek ,  Mar 30, 2004
Pros: Perfect for quick everyday chopping and grinding of small quantities. Easy to use and clean.
Cons: None.
The Bottom Line: Ideal daily use companion to our Cuisinart PowerPrep Plus. Easily processes those frequently small quantities where a larger food processor is overkill. Great value for the inexpensive price.
Review: Over the years we have become accustomed to using little food processors for small daily chopping and pureeing tasks. Most were inexpensive and underpowered with containers and lids that easily cracked or broke (particularly if accidentally dropped). ...

Inspiration for a Dilettante Bachelor...

by   fashfoto ,  Jun 1, 2008
Pros: Great little kitchen tool for a live-alone guy!
Cons: Removing food requires care to avoid allowing food bits to spill out the center shaft.
The Bottom Line: The machine offers me the satisfaction of making various dishes simply and has inspired me to become more creative in the kitchen. Love it!
Review: This review is for the Cuisinart DLC-2A Mini Prep Plus (Food) Processor. I admit, I'm NOT an expert! I'm a bachelor who has been, for much of my adult life, eating in great restaurants throughout the world. That should not be considered ...

My kitchen's smallest work horse

by   l1ama1ady ,  Mar 3, 2008
Pros: Reliable, convenient, works well
Cons: Will puree softer veggies, can't chop chocolate
The Bottom Line: For small jobs, this appliance will save you time. I love mine!
Review: I love my Cuisinart mini prep processor. I received it as a Christmas gift, and have been using it for a year and two months now. It works just as well today as the day I first used it. I would estimate that I use it on 3-4 occasions per week, so that ...

Great tool to have around!

by   mkat167 ,  Nov 25, 2007
Pros: Can put almost anything in - even cooked ground beef.
Cons: A tad loud.
Review: I had never owned a food processor and thought starting with a smaller model would be the way to go. This model is really compact and I love the design. I just pop it back into the pantry when I'm not using it, and when I do need it, it fits right on the ...

Great for making baby food, other small dishes!

by   mandykittie ,  Oct 13, 2003
Pros: Small, attractive, powerful enough.
Cons: No "constantly on" feature, rather noisy.
The Bottom Line: For small tasks it works well, but if you're looking to do more than a small batch you'll need something bigger.
Review: Before I got my mini-prep I had to rely solely on my blender or my (very) big Cuisinart to make baby food for my little one Josie. Unfortunately, the blender can't make a consistently chunky puree, nor can it make a super-fine puree like you find in a ja ...

Great for preparing baby food

by   silly129 ,  May 8, 2008
Pros: Easy to use and clean.
Cons: None!
The Bottom Line: Nice little handy gadget for the kitchen, small enough to keep in the pantry but big enough to get the job done.
Review: I got this Cuisinart Mini Prep Food Processor as a baby shower gift. I use it just about once a week when I prepare baby food for my 6 month old son. My routine is usually to steam all the veggies/fruit first, puree them using my handy mini food ...

Powerful, convenient mini food processor.

by   kmrunner ,  Dec 28, 2008
Pros: Size, convenience, ease of use and cleaning.
Cons: Plastic component around blade is cracking.
The Bottom Line: I highly recommend this appliance.  Since it is easy to use and clean, I use it often, particularly for small tasks such as chopping one onion or mixing salad dressing.
Review: This is a very good small food processor, useful for tasks such as grinding nuts or breadcrumbs; chopping onions and garlic; blending salad dressings and mayonnaise.  Other reviews have commented that when chopping, pieces are not uniform in size, ...

Pros: Small, Easy to Use, Easy to Clean, easy to store
Cons: Only one blade, Not so much power
Review: I received this food processor as a gift recently, and am very pleased with my newest appliance. I already own a large cuisinart so I was bit apprehensive since I didn't think I would need something like this. I found its great for small things like ...

Be careful when disassembling.

by   new_homeowner ,  Apr 24, 2004
Pros: Size
Cons: Clean-up
Review: We received this as a wedding gift. It's a great size - perfect for making homemade salsa and salad dressings. I would like to caution others to keep the lid ON when removing the barrel part from the mechanical part - I ended up making a mess of the ...
