Good purchase

We received this coffee maker as a wedding gift five years ago. We have used it nearly every day since and it has lasted up until last week when I broke the decanter rinsing it out after using it. I will consider buying a new one but since the decanters themselves cost $25.00 and the coffee maker itself is pretty old, we bought a cheaper coffee maker just to get us by for now. I do miss the grind function though.

The coffee maker itself was great. It's nice to be able to set the grinder for automatic grind and brew in the morning. The timer worked perfectly every morning. Not once did it turn off or not brew coffee as set.

There were a few incidents where the grind holder came out of place and grounds and water leaked out on our countertop making for a good mess. This happened probably 10 or so times. Plus, if you like to use paper filters, they don't fit perfectly causing a few grounds to get into the coffee pot, especially when setting for overnight brew since you are not able to supervise the brewing.

It was also difficult to clean the grinder as some parts did not come out to clean.

All in all though, over five years, this was good purchase. Well worth the expense when compared to those you can buy at Target or Wal-Mart.
