Pros: Sized right for most kitchens, accessories included, powerful motor, sturdy
Cons: Feeding tube is an awkward size
The Bottom Line: This is a great food processor and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a mid-sized processor that can handle a variety of jobs.
Review: When I set out to buy my first food processor, I was looking for something smaller than the 11-cup monsters out there. This 7-cupper fit the bill, and I have been really pleased with it since I bought it a year ago. First of all, the DLC-5 is a very ...

Pros: Easy to use; durable; strong
Cons: May not be large enough for family cooking
The Bottom Line: Can't live without it. The most important appliance in my kitchen.
Review: The Cuisinart 7-Cup Food Processor DLC-5 is an excellent investment for any kitchen. This machine will save you hours of time in chopping, mixing, slicing, and shredding.

Pros: ease of use and cleaning, price
Cons: the size of the food chute create need for a few extra prep cuts.
The Bottom Line: Great mid-sized processor with a great price tag. Can easily handle any home cooking task. Money very well spent.
Review: I bought this product because I was tired of slicing, dicing and shredding by hand. I also wanted to get into Once a Month Cooking (where you prepare a months worth of dishes in one day and freeze them for dinners throughout the month) and knew ...

Pros: Good value, well-made.
Cons: Not as high-powered as other Cuisinart models.
The Bottom Line: High quality versatility at a great price.
Review: I enjoy cooking, but the kind of cooking I do doesn't require me to haul out a food processor very often. But when it does, I'm glad I have the DLC-5, which features the usual high Cuisinart quality but is less complicated, somewhat smaller, and much...

Pros: Very strong 600 watt electric motor. Excellent power.
Cons: Loose fitting top. Does not seal tightly.
The Bottom Line: If you need reliability and want simplicity along with moderate sized batches, this is the machine to put in your kitchen. Especially if you buy it on sale!
Review: Kohl's Department Store had the DLC-5 by Cuisinart on sale for $69.00. That is 50% off list price. While the machine is designed for 6 cups and may be small for larger families, for $69.00 I had to go for it. I am well satisfied with the machine. It...

Pros: This machine does everything, quickly!
Cons: A little hard to figure out
The Bottom Line: BUY THIS MACHINE! I adore mine, its the single most used appliance I own!
Review: I was given this Cuisinart as a gift from my mother. She said it would be the most important appliance I would ever own. I wasn't so sure... I couldn't get the stupid thing to work. Its got so many parts, its hard to use, and its just bulky. Funny ...

Pros: Durable, easy to clean, quiet, many accessories available.
Cons: 7 cups can be too small at times. Bowl has square corners.
The Bottom Line: This entry-level 7-cup food processor's 600-watt motor can handle nearly every home use. Its utility can be extended from what its documentation implies by purchase of DLC-10 accessories.
Review: Cuisinart markets this as its entry-level 7-cup food processor. As such, it can often be found on sale at department stores like Kohl's for as low as $75. What they would seemingly rather you not know, to the point where they de-listed some previously ...

Pros: Size, power, easy to clean, easy to use.
Cons: bowl & lid breakage, bad switch
Review: After having diligently researched the choices and determined this would be THE food processor for me, I fearlessly plunked down my money and carted the prize home to my kitchen for some serious slicing and dicing. I really loved the machine for awhile, ...

Doesn't do dough!

Pros: Don't know. Haven't used it. It's going back.
Cons: Doesn't do what the ads on the box say it will do.
Review: I can't believe nobody else has noticed that, contrary to the packaging ("Effortless Dough. One touch of the easy to use paddle control lets you knead dough for pizza, bread, or a delicious dessert in minutes.") there is no attachment nor instructions ...
