...and I thought I didn't NEED one!

After the hype of the food processors in the '70's, then hearing how everyone who got one never used it, I never got one. I've got every other kitchen tool, so when my Mom asked me what I wanted for Christmas, this is what I asked for (it was on sale, besides.)

I've had this baby on my counter since December 15. I've used just about every other day. I don't have much counter space, so I keep only what I use on the counter -- this thing stays on the counter -- right next to my KithenAid mixer!

I've grated cheese, vegetables (potatoes go good!) and made pastry dough. This is another one of those items that you wonder how you got by without.

The only negative comment I have is that the pusher tube has a stupid safety feature that prevents you from removing the pusher without going through an involved disassembly process -- I fixed that by drilling out the tabs that prevent the pusher's removal. I don't care for a lot of the Consumer Product Safety Commission's ideas -- hey, they're my fingers, I'll keep them out of the hole when the thing's running!
