Cuisinart DCC-2000 12-Cup Coffee Maker

The coffee was great! I liked that there was no carafe to mess with; the dispenser worked great and was very convenient. The "fuel gauge" was a bit hard to read, but very handy; I knew when I was getting low. The timer worked well, too. It had a permanent gold filter, which worked well.

However: it only lasted a little over a year. One day it just stopped functioning. I tried a really good cleaning; using a different outlet, etc. It was gone. Also, it had a really funky water well and if I was in a hurry I would mis-pour and have water all over the counter.

The price is a bit high, but that can be addressed by using a coupon at one of the housewares stores in conjunction with a sale.

I enjoyed the pot while I had it, but it wasn't worth the cost to replace it with same model (I opted for one of those one-cup brewers that can use regular coffee or pods).
