CORRECTION: I now love this machine so much
Date of Review: Mar 4, 2009
The Bottom Line: Turn the bowl and then the back presser parts far enough to wait for the 'click'. One you get it, you know it's safely locked.
Bought this in Mar 2009, have used it several times each and every week since then. I've really regretted leaving negative feedback so quickly after purchase. I don't know how I ever cooked and baked without it.
I found out the secret to cleaning is filling one side of the sink with hot soapy water, and immediately swishing each part in the water after each use. It also is dishwasher safe, so I clean it that way weekly. Hence, my machine is always ready, out on the counter, and saves so much time.
Love the red and chrome color. Have made better use of leftovers, since they're so easy to chuck in the slicer and make soup. Great for grating leftover steak or roast into tender shredded strips.
Incredible for yeast breads. I put the tiny bit of hot liquid, yeast and sugar in the Cuisinart bowl. When it's bubbled, I gently pile in the other ingredients. Cuts kneading time by at least 75%.
The only thing I would not use it for is shredding cheese - big messy mistake, but it warns about that in the instruction book.
Okay Epinions - this is crazy to require 200 words minimum. I'm done. I LOVE my food processor, so accept the review already!!
