For once, a better than Crock Pot slow cooker.

by   mrcoffee73 ,  Nov 15, 2005
Pros: Durable, attractive, with infinite control settings. Huge capacity. Heavily built ceramic pot, built to last.
Cons: Ceramic pot is too big for most dish washers.
The Bottom Line: This is a do-all machine with infinite settings, adaptable to any medium to large slow cooker recipe. Its solid and durable construction will last for years.
Review: Winter set in, my roaster oven was broke down, and I had to find something to replace it. I saw Crock Pot slow cookers with plastic lids, plastic buttons, and dated styles. I saw more Crock Pot slow cookers with only two settings (either high temp for ...

Cons: Watch heat settings---cooker runs a bit hotter than indicated.
Review: The Cuisinart 6.5 Quart Slow Cooker is an excellent value (cost approximately $90 here on the East Coast). If you appreciate simple appliances---by that I mean those without lots of fancy gadgets, gizmos, settings, and displays, this is THE model for ...

Cuisin Art

by   kallard ,  Mar 25, 2005
Pros: flexibility in settings, capacity, retractable cord
Cons: requires experimentation to get timing/temp correct, industrial look, price
The Bottom Line: I would recommend this product for larger families and those willing to experiment. It does a good job and the flexibility of time and temperature settings is excellent.
Review: Most of my slow cooker experience has been with Rival. I have always been satisfied in the past, but my latest Rival Smart Pot did not cook food to my satisfaction. Before purchasing the Cuisinart CSC-650, I researched many other slow cookers. There are ...

A warm, home-cooked meal greets you at the end of the day

by   blanders76 ,  Aug 29, 2005
Pros: Looks great on the counter/table, timer feature, large capacity
Cons: Large capacity also means that the pot is cumbersome to wash
The Bottom Line: A great slow cooker that has performed excellently every time I've used it.
Review: First off, let me say that slow cookers are one of the greatest kitchen inventions available today for busy people who don't have hours to spend in the kitchen preparing meals. With that said, the Cuisinart Slow Cooker is by far the best slow cooker out ...
