Pros: very easy to use, attachments are dishwasher safe, doesn't take up much cabinet real estate
Cons: a bit expensive
The Bottom Line:
As time goes by, I appreciate the Cuisinart SmartStick Handheld Blender more and more. I'm going to say that this is probably my favorite appliance purchase of the past year. This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: After reading about a recipe involving butternut squash, apples, and pears, I decided that I wanted to get a stick blender so I could make it myself. Time passed and I used the squash and fruit for other things. My husband remembered the comment,...

Pros: Design, power, attachments, easy-to-use, price.
Cons: Not all parts dishwasher-safe, no wall-mounts, one-speed only.
The Bottom Line: Despite a few shortcomings, this is a nice offering in a crowded niche. Comparison shop for the best price.

Pros: Quick-chop that makes enough for a recipe, smoothie-master.
Cons: Bogs down on ice cream drinks and most parts need hand washing.
The Bottom Line: I recommend the SmartStick as a handy and fast way to fine-chop or puree foods for recipes and for mixing non-ice cream drinks.

Review: I love this gadget. I was looking for a shake mixer and fell in love with this multi-function dream. In the space of seconds with nary a tear, I can chop a half onion to fine mince. Pesto? Presto! Small batches of dips whip up in an instant and...

Pros: Convenient, Works well, small footprint on counter
Cons: Corded but that's not that bad as cord wasn't in the way.
The Bottom Line: Much better than a blender and I believe the chopper function will also be superior.

Review: I bought this so that I could blend up food for my baby. I love this. I still use this and she's almost 2 1/2 years old. I've used it to make my own baby food, grind up nuts, make soups, etc. Smoothies are next!
