Mine never worked well....
Date of Review: Feb 24, 2008
The Bottom Line: Stay away from this machine.
This machine is sold in europe under the brand "kenwood".
It has the very same appearance, same programs, same weak and wobbly fixation of the baking bucket.
Strangely, i had to throw away tons of strange looking bread, and whatever i tried, it never gave real good bread.
After many experiments, i found that reducing the amount of water (far less than cuisinart/kenwood suggests in its book) gave slightly better results.
A friend of mine has the same machine, and the same problem of bad results....
Well, despite the price i paid (149 euros), and the nice look that the machine has, i decided to get a panasonic.
Since than, my daily bread is tastfull and super looking, without even ONE failure during some 60 breads or so!
Far better fixation of the baking bucket, which is better quality/thicker anyway, and the paddle stays in the bucket, so no need to stop the machine and get the paddle out, as some people seem to do with the cuisinart.
The fact that the cuisinart needs to have the ingredient mixed as one reviewer wrote, shows that the cuisinart really has some strange problems.
Maybe some of these machines are not well calibrated in temperature or so? The fact that i had the problem, and a friend too, combined with the fact that several reviewers have issues with this machine must be a warning to you.
I would advice you to stay away from it, and to have a look at the panasonics instead.
