Consistent results. High on style and function.

The Bottom Line: I recommend it because it looks good, works good, and is reasonable in price.

Why did I buy it?
I purchased this machine in Sept 2005. I purchased it based on the name and style/size. The stainless finish is nice to look at.
What do you love about this product?
I've had very nice results. It is better than other units I've owned. As of 10/20/2006 it continues to perform well, 1+ year later and MANY loaves, I'd say 40 or so. Only a couple of loaves that I messed up. I have to say it makes the most odd looking French bread ever - but it does taste good.
The machine makes attractive 'normal' shaped loafs that are of good density and texture. I usually make 'small' loves. Compared to previous bread makers this machine is quiet and sturdy. Bread does not stick in the cook well and it is easy to clean. The paddle rarely gets stuck after over a year.
The recipes in the included book are nice and seem to work well.
The time delay function works perfectly and allows up to 12 hours. I LOVE how this bread maker does the time delay. If you want the loaf done in 10 hours you just increase the time to 10 hours. Other makers' I've owned required you to do math.
I like how the unit beeps 5 times when the loaf is done, consistent with my other Cuisinart Appliances.
What do you hate?
The exterior stainless finish has a typical tendency to streak when you wipe it. You need stainless steel cleaner.
The convection fan makes a little noise when it runs, however it does seem to make a more even loaf. It has not gotten any louder - it is what it is. Doesn't bother anyone.
The little legs don't keep it in place! I've had a few scary experiences where it has 'walked' to the edge of the counter with one leg dangling off. Yikes. It has yet to fall to the floor. Remember, push it BACK to avoid this or put it on a sticky mat.
Overall - Very impressed.
