Powerful blender, Makes Great Frozen Drinks
Date of Review: Sep 4, 2008
The Bottom Line: For the price, this is a great tool in the kitchen.
A couple of months ago I purchased the Cuisinart SmartPower Duet to replace our old blender that broke after only a few short years. I was drawn to this model because it was as powerful as the professional style blender, it cost only a couple dollars more and had the little food processor attachment. Although I already have a full sized food processor, I thought I could you this one for the smaller jobs.
I am in love with the blender. The jar is short and wide, which makes it easier to clean. The lid fits on tight. The unit is stable and best of all, is powerful enough to whip up great margaritas and daiquiris. My old blender was never able to truly crush the ice like this one does.
The food processor attachment is small and great for those every day little uses. The base unit is smaller than my large food processor and is more convenient. I find I use this food processor more often than my larger one, just because it is smaller, more convenient. Also this food processor has less parts to take apart and clean than my older, larger food processor. I have found this makes clean up much easier and faster.
I really haven't found anything I don't like about the Cuisinart SmartPower Duet. It's a star in my kitchen.
