You have a choice of three finishes, Cherry, Oak, or Paprika. I chose Paprika when I ordered my Crosley Entertainment Center direct from Crosley.com. When it arrived at my door I could not wait to open it. Crosley sure knew how to pack it well and it arrived in perfect condition. Set up was a snap and the instruction manual is very easy to understand and follow. The remote control is nice and easy, just as the buttons on the front of the entertainment center are easy to read and use. I set the clock, and got out my first record. On this model you play one record at a time (I preferred this, but Crosley has other models if you want to stack records). To turn the record player on you move the arm to the right until you hear a click, then set the needle on the record. When the record is finished playing the player stops automatically.
Ah, the crackle of the vinyl record was music to my ears! The turntable is large enough to firmly hold your long play records, with no skips. I played several old records that I had heard for over 20 years! Then I moved on to test out the AM/FM Radio. It picked up my radio stations very well, and better than my other radio.
The CD player is also very nice and easy to use. It's placed right in the front of the entertainment center for ease of use. Around the side is where Crosley placed the cassette deck. You can either listen to cassettes or record one from the record player, radio or CD player! I don't have a CD player in my car, so I was excited to be able to record all my favorite music and listen to it in the car.
The stereo speakers sound great in this compact unit, and Crosley did a great job placing them in the corners so you can listen from all directions. The only drawback is that you don't get a lot of bass in the sound. I intent to add speakers using the external speaker outputs Crosley placed on the back of the unit.
The remote control is one of the easiest remotes I have used. The unit looks great sitting on my antique sideboard in the living room, and I have even decided to increase my collection of records because of my Crosley.
