Not bad at all!

After reading several less than stellar reviews about a few of the different Crosley turntable combo units, I wasn't expecting to like this product, but my wife wanted something to pay her records and refused to bring my high-end system into the room.

Fit and finish is decent. Mine has a blemish on top, probably from some over-eager buffing by a sleepy or tired factory worker, but nothing so bad as to require returning. Looks very nice overall (I have a cherry version).

The speakers are nothing special, there's no tone control at all, but for 250 bucks, your getting a radio, CD and turntable so three-dollar speakers are not a surprise. I'm sure hooking up some external speakers wold improve things, but with the amplifier probably being the same quality as the speakers, why bother? I'll try it anyway later on a see what happens.

Overall I am pleasantly surprised and I have to say it's a quick and easy solution to getting that old vinyl out of the closet. I honestly don't understand what people writing all those negative reviews expected, but it sounds exactly like I expected it to sound, not so good, but not so bad either. Just don't be surprised when it doesn't about like a thousand dollar analog setup...because well, it isn't.
