Solid Well Constructed Crib

After endless research on what to look for in a crib, I cautiously ordered the Sorelle Lana Baby Crib. I had heard nightmare stories about cribs being on back order, but we received our crib within a week of ordering it. Well before my very tardy little bundle of joy.

My primary objective was to find a safe and solidly constructed crib that didn't overwhelm our petite nursery. Many of the cribs that I found had oversized headboards; sleighbeds etc that were gigantic in proportion to the tiny little lamb that would sleep there.

Many of the "simple" cribs that I found on display had very poor workmanship: exposed hardware, glue, and poor mechanisms for dropping the side. I was dismayed.

Once we received the crib, I was relieved to see the quality wood and hardware. My husband did spend a COUPLE of quality hours putting this crib together. This is not an easy process and would recommend setting aside several stress free hours before your bundle of joy arrives to put the crib together.

Style - The simple lines blend seamlessly into our nursery. Many cribs become the primary focus of a room, which is something we wanted to avoid. It has elegant and simple lines.

The large storage drawer below the crib conveniently holds the extra sheets and blankets. Why anyone would purchase without a storage drawer is beyond me? As for the functionality of converting to a daybed - I guess this important to some folks, but toddler beds are inexpensive and readily available. This wasn't a selling feature for us.

The overall product though was exactly what we were looking for. The recessed hardware doesn't catch on bedding or little extremities. The 1 hand drop release truly can be used while holding a squirmy infant. The crib after two years of use is still as solid as the day we put it together despite temper tantrums, kicking and climbing from our monkey like daughter. We did replace the plastic casters though with medal ones. A simple inexpensive fix.
