The Bottom Line: Cheaply made with sub-standard plastic; documented design & hardware defects; likely will fail soon after purchase; lousy warranty service - manufacturer doesn't give a rip about fairness or customer satisfaction
Review: I bought a Creative Zen V Plus MP-3 player as a Christmas gift, in mid-December 2006.

Right out of the box, I was a little concerned about the durability of this player - it felt like a cheap plastic toy.

The Creatively Cheap MP3 player

The Bottom Line: Save your money and get an ipod because this mp3 player will break easy.
Review: For Christmas of 2006, right after this mp3 player came out, my girlfriend decided to buy me one for christmas as well as one for her self. It was my first product from Creative and didn't know what to expect because previously I owned 3 ipods.

Too light to be a paper weight

The Bottom Line: Avoid. The player never accepted a song, nor a charge even after returning for servicing. Creative tells me it may be my computer, although the other MP3 all work fine.
Review: I bought this for my daughter for Christmas as her first MP3 player. It was a spur of the moment decision as the player I wanted was not available.

Excellent small audio/video player with lots of features

The Bottom Line: If you are looking for a small and light player that has lots of features, then look no further. This is the perfect iPod Nano alternative at 1/3 the cost.
Review: I got this player to use while running or biking, since my 30GB Zen Vision M is a little too bulky to use for those activities. I got the 1 GB Black/Orange model, although the other models are identical except for storage size.

Review: I purchased this player in May 2007 and loved it for about six months; easy to use, sounded great. It never did interface correctly with my computer but I found some work-arounds to get music onto it.
