Like Chatting With an Old Friend

by   Dani257 ,  May 24, 2000
Pros: Conversational style, realistic and funny
Cons: None
Review: I have a copy of a book called Robert E. Lee: The Christian (No, this isn't an off topic review. Stay with me). It's in perfect shape. The cover is there. There are no dog eared pages. I haven't read the book.

I also have (or had is a...

Laughed and Laughed!

by   poemwriter1 ,  Mar 18, 2000
Pros: A good time from beginning to end!
Cons: It's a bit short, but that's minor.
Review: When you're reading this book, and I hope you do, it has to be done in such a way where Paul Reiser's voice is in your head. It is written as though he is having a conversation, not "trying to be a writer." If you're familiar with his sense...

You and this book would make a GREAT couple

by   Timberfro ,  Apr 16, 2000
Pros: Excellent use of words makes Reiser's onstage presence come to life
Cons: None
Review: Having watched the television series "Mad About You" for several years, I decided to open up the book "Couplehood" by Paul Reiser, the show's star, and see if he was as humorous on paper as onscreen. He wasn't...He was INFINITLEY...

by   Deci ,  Jul 11, 2000
Pros: Great reading.. time goes by quickly.. you'll laugh out loud!!
Cons: No cons... all positive reviews for this book!!
Review: Paul Reiser did a great job on this particular book. He has a wonderful sense to his writing capabilities. It's almost like you're having a conversation with him.. you laugh at what he says because you know he's right by saying what he's saying. It...

Realistic

by   CapuletTak ,  Dec 12, 1999
Pros: Funny and a good source of how exactly to date.
Cons: The only bad thing about it is that it had to end sometime.
Review: This book is very funny and it is the whole truth about real couplehood relationships. It is an autobiography on his life and his relationship with his current wife Paula. It tells about usual dating rituals, but it puts a humorous spin on the matters....

Are you really going to be right there every night?

by   cawthon777 ,  Oct 7, 2001
Pros: well written, very personable style
Cons: short
The Bottom Line: A great read by a great comedian.
Review: “Yes.”

“Forever?”

“Mm hmm.”

“You’re saying, that of all the people in the world, the one to whom you will donate your Naked Self, night after night, is me

“Uh-huh.”

“And the reason would be...

Laugh out Loud Funny, but Short

by   edmayer420 ,  Dec 20, 1999
Pros: Belly laughs
Cons: SHORT SHORT SHORT
Review: I must start out by saying that this book is incredibly funny. Paul Reiser's writing style is kind of like you would imagine his thought process is, very funny, very quick, a little jumpy but that's the fun part. I brought this book to work on a...
