Esselte Dymo LetraTag QX50 Label Printer...Helping Me Get Organized

by   kamel622 ,  Aug 29, 2007
Pros: *Attractive
*Functional
*Shuts itself Off
Cons: *Requires 5 batteries
*No AC adapter
Small text and symbols on directions
The Bottom Line: I found the Esselte Dymo LetraTag QX50 a simple and easy to use label maker that fit my needs for my home and daycare files.
Review: I remember many, many years ago my dad having one of those little label makers where you turn a dial to each letter that you want and eventually have a label made. It was rather time consuming, although I remember having fun labeling everything. ...

A good starter label maker

by   lonelywind ,  Jan 19, 2005
Pros: Inexpensive and functional. Ergonomic keyboard layout. Tape stock cheaper than most.
Cons: Small character height. No AC adapter. Tape stock not always easy to find.
The Bottom Line: If you're like me and always wanted an electronic label printer, this is a good, inexpensive unit to start with. It may be all you need.
Review: I had always been fascinated with label makers (my wife says it's a "guy thing"). When I was a kid, I had one of those Dymo embossing label makers, with the plastic tape and the big wheel, and the squeeze handle to press the letters into the label. I ...

Not bad, not bad at all... and it looks good.

by   tanueirin ,  Jul 17, 2004
Pros: Affordable. Easy, intuitive use. Different label types: fabric iron-on, outdoor metallic, plastic, economical paper.
Cons: Blade doesn't cut the paper labels very well. Haven't tried it on the others.
The Bottom Line: An affordable labelmaker for the home and small office, and the label refills are cheap and easy to find.
Review: I spent an entire afternoon comparing this label maker with the cheaper Dymo models and the Casio. I ended up choosing this over the Casio label maker which was the same price. (Sorry I can't remember the product number for the Casio.) Two things made ...

The most affordable labeling system

by   parkrow ,  Aug 11, 2004
Pros: Price, Label price, easy peel labels
Cons: fonts a bit jagged, paper label doesn't cut clean
The Bottom Line: It's a good affordable labeling system.
Review: I've used Brother at my office for a while, then got QX50 when the machine was on sale at OfficeMax for $20 (I think) about 2 years ago. And I like it. Brother has better labels (more color, size, etc), and they use laminated plastic kind that's ...

label cutter works perfectly

by   lepelstraat ,  Feb 3, 2005
Pros: Ease and logic of use. Multi-languages and symbols. Easy to hold and handle.
Cons: no AC adapter. The white/powder blue casing will probably look dirty in a while.
Review: I bought my LetraTAB QX50 in Amsterdam for 29.95 euros without reading these reviews. But now that I've read them...I'm doubly glad I bought it. The only problem I initially had was finding out how to remove the backing from the label (it's split in two ...

LetraTag Iron-on Labels Fall Off

by   elderchild ,  Jun 20, 2006
Pros: None
Cons: Type too small on 2 lines. Iron-on tape fell off after only one washing.
Review: Not recommended for laundry. I purchased the Dymo LetraTag QX50 specifically to make iron-on labels for my elderly mother's clothing. After only ONE washing, most of the labels came off! Of the ones that stayed on, the type was faded. Also, the type is ...
