Finally a Combination Carseat That Excels as a Booster!

Date of Review:  Sep 2, 2002
The Bottom Line: This model has a nice array of features and is recommended for all children except those under 40 pounds who tend to be in higher percentiles for height than weight.
Review: Introduction

This review is for the Cosco Summit High Back Booster with LATCH. Cosco rates this model from 22-40 pounds (and over 1 year old) with the internal harness, and 30-100 pounds as a belt positioning booster. This model is in a...

bruising to back

Date of Review:  Apr 5, 2006
Review: My daughter has had this car seat for a year now and has constant bruising to her back. I have contacted Cosco about this and there are no recalls. I switched car seats for 2 weeks and the bruises went away. Extra padding does not help because it is...

The ONLY Convertible Booster Consumer Reports Recommends Without Reservation

Date of Review:  Apr 10, 2004
The Bottom Line: I wanted a seat for someone falling in that in-between stage (outgrown the regular car seat, but too young/lightweight for a conventional booster). This seat comes close...
Review: When my son was 2 he presented us with an interesting dilemma. Tall for his age while still being quite skinny, he outgrew his beloved Britax Roundabout carseat (a forward-facing seat is considered "outgrown" when the tops of the child's ears are...

Perfect Car Seat? No such thing, but Summit Comes the Closest

Date of Review:  Apr 28, 2004
The Bottom Line: The multitude of benefits far outweigh the few drawbacks. I know my kids are safe and comfortable in this seat. It was worth every, hard earned, penny.
Review: Like many parents who purchased this car seat I choose it after reading the Consumer Reports booster seat ratings. They really do know their stuff, because this seat is safe, comfortable, easy to use and not bad looking either. After dealing with...

Good car seat/ booster seat

Date of Review:  Jul 13, 2005
The Bottom Line: Overall, I would say this is one of the best. Good for ages 12 months up to 5 or 6 years.
Review: While I'm convinced that there should be a way to "build" your own car seat, with the fabric choices you want and the features you need...let me say, that the Cosco Summit comes about as close to any for me. Certainly not perfect but none are. I...

Overall a good buy

Date of Review:  Feb 26, 2003
The Bottom Line: This is a good buy.
Review: Overall this is a pretty good product. My child is 20 months and he loves it as it has a lot of space, It does not make him feel confined like other car seats may, It gives more room to play, has arm rests, drink holders and is cushy on the bottom...

This is the only toddler/booster seat that Consumer Reports recommends

Date of Review:  May 19, 2003
The Bottom Line: We like this seat for its ability to accommodate our taller, lighter toddler, and for its recommendation from Consumer Reports.
Review: We chose this seat because it is the only toddler/booster seat that Consumer Reports recommends once the seatbelt is used instead of the 5 pt. harness. Since they do extensive testing, we trust their opinions and recommendations.

My son...

Cosco Summit High Back Booster: Finally A Car Seat My Daughter Can't Get Out Of!

Date of Review:  Jun 7, 2002
The Bottom Line: This seat is wonderfully versatile as it can be used as a car seat and booster.
Review: About two months ago, my daughter decided that she'd try a little magician's trick. As we were traveling home from my parent's house, I glanced into the back seat to find that my daughter had unbuckled herself from her car seat and was attempting to...
