Perfect Car Seat? No such thing, but Summit Comes the Closest
Pros:
Safe, escape proof, easy to adjust, comfortable, easy to clean, nice looking, and feeling, fabric.
Cons:
crotch latch difficult the first few times, a little expensive
The Bottom Line:
The multitude of benefits far outweigh the few drawbacks. I know my kids are safe and comfortable in this seat. It was worth every, hard earned, penny.

Author's Review
Like many parents who purchased this car seat I choose it after reading the Consumer Reports booster seat ratings. They really do know their stuff, because this seat is safe, comfortable, easy to use and not bad looking either. After dealing with other seats that require a degree in Rocket Science to adjust, I literally did a little dance of happiness in my driveway when I had to adjust the straps on the Summit for the first time. Not only do kids grow, but, one day they are in a bulky winter coat, then a sweater then a shirt, then back into a heavy sweater. The Summit takes about minute to adjust for all of those circumstances. Also my little Houdini, who could escape any car seat, and had, several, can't undo this one, provided the top clasp is high enough on her chest, otherwise she can pull her arms though and climb out, which she did. . . once. I agree with some of the reviews about the price, a little steep, but considering how long I'll use this seat and how well it has served me thus far, it was a bargain. What's the price tag on the safety of your kids anyway? I also agree that the crotch buckle is difficult to latch the first time, but once you get it, you get it. Besides its funny watching other people try to buckle your kid into their seat that bewildered look on their faces and the reluctance to ask for help for fear of seeming stupid kind of cracks me up. Sadistic you say? True, but it's still funny. I am, also, not sure why they chose this "puzzle" type clasp, but I'm assuming that the arrangement of the parts makes the "un-clasp" button tighter and therefore more difficult for little hands to press down on and un-do. My daughters fine motor skills are frightening in their precision, but she can't un-do that clasp! So, bottom line, I love this seat, so much so, that I went out and bought a second for my youngest the minute she outgrew her infant seat. Is it "perfect" of course not, but when someone finds the perfect car seat, perhaps they will also find the perfect husband, wife, mother. . .in which case I'd love to hear the details of how exactly how did that.
