Great car seat for penny-pinchers

This car seat is a very basic car seat.  It is lightweight making it painless to carry, which I did through an airport.  My daughters, 3 yrs and 1 yr, have both ridden in it, had no complaints, and it has fit them both well. I bought this seat when my youngest grew out of the infant carrier. I haven't used it rear facing. Since it is pink my oldest picked it as her seat and left the 1 yr old her old blue seat. I bought the Cosco pink high back booster for my oldest. Almost a year later, my youngest still rides in it and will continue until she outgrows it.  I found the cover easy to remove.  It takes me about five minutes. I worried that the cover would shrink after washing but I didn't have to worry. The biggest problems have been that the cup holder, which can attach on any side, doesn't hold the skinny sippy cups well.  The cup holder also has holes so it can't hold pennies, rocks, and other little kid treasures. The upper back of the seat is wide making it uncomfortable for an adult to sit next to.  But I guess most seats are that wide anyway.  For the price it is a great car seat and I believe it will keep my kids safe.  Plus my husband also has had no complaints. I know there are other car seats with a lot more options but this car seat is simple to use and own.  Plus if you don't use it as a primary car seat it is great for grandparents and second cars.
