Didn't fit my van

We had used a Cosco convertible seat for 1 1/2 years and have been pleased with it's performance, so I wanted to buy a Cosco booster seat. I hoped this booster seat would be the last seat my soon would need since it has an eighty pound limit.

It seemed like a good seat, until I tried it in the belt positioning booster mode . . . and discovered that a plastic piece of the seat projects out to where the seat belt buckle for my van comes out. I have an '01 Dodge Caravan. I didn't want to have to fight to pull the buckle out to use the seat belt. It already seems hard enough that I will have to reach over my son to buckle him in, so I took this car seat back.

I am so thankful that I did a test run of the belt positioning booster mode right away, even though my son is still using the five-point harness system. I had the box and the receipt so the return to Walmart was very easy.

At 2 1/2, his shoulders were almost at the top slot for the strap, so he would have to move onto the belt positioning booster mode. On the Evenflo seat we ended up with, he has about two inches to go.

I can't speak of the durability of this seat as it was only in my van for 15 minutes and then promptly returned to the box for a return.
