Vince Flynn’s Consent to Kill: Mitch Rapp is in the crosshairs

by   trailhound ,  Oct 25, 2005
Pros: Steadily moving plot. Characterizations are believable. Interesting protagonist.
Cons: Light on dialogue amongst the characters.
The Bottom Line: In Consent to Kill Mitch Rapp, a CIA assassin, finds that he is the one being stalked by unknown assailants. A good read for espionage/thriller fans.
Review: Mitch Rapp is a shadowy CIA employee with a reputation that causes most people to fear him. For years Rapp has operated quietly on the margins of society, methodically hunting down terrorists and other assorted “bad guys”. Most recently he ...

The Hunter Becomes The Hunted

by   andymack ,  Oct 6, 2006
Pros: An excellent story, with addictive characters and a nice fast pace
Cons: The end seems to be rushed compared to the build up to the story
The Bottom Line: An excellent page turning read that will keep you hooked
Review: As one of the key Counter Terrorism operatives in the CIA, Mitch Rapp was putting himself on the line all the time. His actions over the years had saved the life’s of many but now it seems that the hunter is about to become the hunted. The father of a ...

Vince Flynn - Consent to Kill: A Thriller

by   popsrocks ,  Aug 22, 2007
Pros: Thrilling roller coaster ride. Well written and presented. Easy to follow plot and solid ending.
Cons: Rapp was distant. It took too much time to find out who he was.
The Bottom Line: Now that I know of this character Mitch Rapp I'll be looking for more books with him in it.
Review: Author Vince Flynn has CIA operative Mitch Rapp out doing his usual business ridding the world of unsavory characters. In this book however, the tides have turned and it's his life that assassins are out to get. This happened to be the first Vince ...

Vince Flynn's Worst Book

by   toiletoctopus ,  Sep 20, 2006
Pros: Generally Fast-Paced, Surprises, Mitch Rapp
Cons: Dialogue, Mrs. Rapp
The Bottom Line: Consent to Kill is a great book, and it will cause you to lose sleep from not being able to put it down. Buy it today.
Review: From my title most would surmise that I didn't like this book. That is incorrect, as I really enjoyed reading it, although it was the worst book that Mr. Flynn has written. Vince Flynn is the author of the following books: "Term Limits"(1998), ...

My second Flynn novel and I will be reading more!

by   dad-daughters ,  Nov 11, 2005
Pros: Interesting plot, good main character development
Cons: I just did not enjoy the husband/wife relationship of Mitch and Anna
The Bottom Line: Good spy genre writing. Flynn is becoming a household name.
Review: I normally do not buy hardback books, mostly because I am cheap, but also because I like to have the smaller paperback with me for those times when I am sitting around with nothing to do--and I’m not with my wife-- such as airports, restaurants, ...
