Comfort-Aire BHD-501 Dehumidifier - This is a Best Buy!

We had an old GoldStar dehumidifier for the basement area.
Being 13 yrs. old, that unit had seen its better days and needed to be replaced.
I spent several days searching the Internet for a quality product with decent reviews and which wouldn't cost me an arm and leg.
The BHD-501 appeared to fit the bill in all of those aspects. So I found one at AceHardwareOutlet dot Com for a price I was content with and ordered it.
Upon receiving it ( It was double boxed ) I unpacked it and carefully read the directions. Easy to understand Instruction Manual which if you follow you should
have no problems.
Plug it in, turn it on and lo and behold it's quiet running. That was one month ago and we empty the 22 pint capacity bucket once in the morning then 12 hrs later in the evening. Full both times for a total of 44 pints per day. I suppose if we emptied it more often we might be able to get the other 6 pints per day out of it. But at 44 pints a day, whose going to complain? WE LOVE IT !!!
Keeps it nice and dry in the basement now.
It does take a little getting used to as far as removing the front access bucket, but if you put one hand at the top of the unit to steady it and then place the fingers of your other hand UNDER the front edge of the bucket and gently pull the bucket toward you it will come out.
We are very happy to have this unit working for us.
