Two Years Later...A Disappointment

It has been two years since I have had the Comfort Aire BHD-501 and am sorry to say the subject in question has let me down. I surely believed that this unit would last longer then the two years I've owned it. The unit started to "hang" up as far as the auto shut off is concerned. When the desired humidity was reached..the compressor shut down but the unit (fan-motor?) kept running. I had to manually use the power on/off button to restart the unit. It continued with this problem. The timer setting for continuous running did not work. The unit would simply reach the desired setting..compressor would shut down..fan/motor? would continue to run. Went shopping for a different brand. Am currently using/trying the Haier HD456. Not digital..has mechanical settings but hope the unit lasts longer then two years. Time will tell.
