Stay away from the Comfort-Aire BHD-501!

Review: Purchased from a local chain department store, the first unit lasted only a few months before failing (leaky compressor/condensor unit)...Heat Controller here in Michigan supposedly made the units...actually it's the Chinese LG company that makes...

Lasted 13 months

Review: Purchased the unit brand new and one month out of warranty the unit has failed. Ice is forming on the coils and the the unit is failing to remove moisture no matter how long it runs. So far no response from the Manufacturer.

Product Works -- Customer Support Fails Miserably

The Bottom Line: I recommend looking at other manufacturers. When shopping, look for a unit designed with the user in mind, and be sure to compare the specifications of the different manufacturers.
