The best Stroller Frame/Car Seat Carrier
Date of Review: Jun 26, 2006
The Bottom Line: This was my favorite piece of baby equipment, totally indispensable. It has made my life traveling with a baby so much easier!
I loved this item so much! Too bad that my son outgrew his car seat already.
I had the Combi Flash with Graco Snugride. It saved my back traveling everywhere, including oversea's. I hang bags in the front and back (to balance the weight so it doesn't flip over), and I can walk mostly handsfree!
Combi Flash folds very compact, and is very easy to fold and unfold. To fold, you tilt it backwards, shake it slightly so the wheels would line up well, pull the hands and it retract, and then fold inwards. It's a nice trifold. can fit under the feet in the backseat. This is great when you are taking a taxi overseas. Not requesting them to open the trunk means you save some money on the fare. all you have to do is put the baby seat in the car, fold the Flash in 2 seconds, put it under your feet, strap in the baby car seat, you are done. can't be easier. air travel was great, too. even easier than sit n stroll. I bought this for an oversea's travel for a month when my son was 11 months old. I used it everyday for 1 month and a little more. I was very sad when my son outgrew this wonderful set.
The wheel is a nice 5 inch size. It pushes like a dream. Sturdy and smooth. swivrls very well as well. I think it is better made than the combi city savvy. I bought the city savvy after having such a wonderful experience with the Flash. But sadly, the performances are not the same, as city savvy has smaller wheels, and it wobbles.
The best feature is the lightweight. I think it was only 10 lbs or so. simple and very light. I have a very bad back and cannot carry anything too heavy. This was perfect for me. I put two hooks on the handles, and the stroller practically carries everything for me this way, very convenient.
The downside is the basket. If you are a basket person, and always keep stuff under there, this is not for you. It's hard to access the basket under the seat, and you have to empty it before you can fold it up. So I usually just hang stuff on the back, and never use the basket.
Flash comes with its own stroller accessory pack. It has three pockets. two round ones for drinks or bottles, the middle is rectangular for snack or stuff. You don't have to empty these to fold. Convenient for little things like wipes, snacks, a binky, bibs, etc.
