My husband and I endured several Saturdays at Babies-R-Us and Target familiarizing ourselves with strollers before the arrival of our first child last summer. Our goal was to find a lightweight, durable stroller comparable to the Quinny in ease-of-use, but less expensive.
The Combi 2007 Torino DX only weighs 21 pounds. I really came to appreciate that as I collapsed and lifted dozens of strollers to see what it'd be like loading them into my car. The straps are adjustable with pads that rest against the child's neck to prevent chafing. This is a great little running-around stroller - the wheels are meant for sidewalks and store floors, not snowy conditions, grass and gravelly roads. For that kind of activity, a jogging stroller would be more suitable.
We used the stroller in conjunction with the Combi Centre DX carseat/carrier which we also really like. Both of these items are also easy to clean, which we learned after an unfortunate incident with coffee. (Baby was well out of harm's way!)
For me storage was a big issue. This stroller doesn't have a huge basket underneath. BUT the basket is large enough to hold a jacket, diaper bag and a few other little ditties. When the back of the stroller is down, to accommodate the Combi carrier or a sleeping child, it is challenging to get things in and out of the basket. I purchased some hooks that attach to the handlebar (from Babies-R-Us) and use those to hold shopping bags.
I bought this item through Target. I love how quickly it collapses and how light it is to toss in the trunk. I used to wish it had more robust wheels, but now I have a jogging stroller and this one is the shopping/city-stroller. We have been using this product since last summer and have had no problems with parts/durability.
