It is Open Pit Season!!! Kabobs, marinated Mahi Mahi and riblets galore!! But first before the feast, you must have a top of the line fire abyss ready to char your savage finger food!
May I welcome into your world, the Coleman Roadtrip LXE 9949-750 Propane Grill...This is the motherload at the 12 and under price. I have gone through so many grills, both electric, propane and charcoal that I never thought I would find one that I could rest easy with. This grill is not only compact in it's size and weight, but it folds up, and has wheels, making it a portable grill that you can take to the park, camping or on....Roadtrips!!!
Most men conquer the grilling world, but this is easy enough for a woman to use, with the matchless lighting, the button to push to ignite the propane, and does not use huge tanks and is not wasteful once ignited, saving money in the long run. Once you hit the button, the heat will last for hours on one or both burners.
It is powered with 20,000 BTU's that works even in the cold weather. It is made out of steel, but has a removable grate that you can switch to a griddle or a stove if you purchase those additionally. It cooks fast and evenly, and tastes awesome. I have the grill accessory for breakfast items like eggs and sausage, and it is also impressive and delivers one of a kind camping meals!
The grill grate is easy to clean, you can put it in your dishwasher, even though I have never done that myself. It has a drip tray for the grease, so it never gets too messy, you just slide it out, much like a Foreman grill. There are two burners for multiple meals, with 285 square inches of elbow room! It has a light lift over lid that is easy to lift and close without getting burned. The adjusters are in the front to rise or lower the heat and flames.
It is very attractive, and has a locking system for safety of little ones. It is easy to set up and takes next to nothing to get it up and running. This does take away from that beloved charcoal taste, but it leaves items like hamburgers juicy and corn on the cob soft.
It does cost more than the average grill, but other grills are not portable, costs more to run per the propane tank, and do not have easy to clean options. The taste, though, is what gets me. It is the best among the 1/2 dozen grills I have had to put up with over the years.
I think this is very family friendly, and even though the cost up front is a pinch, when you grill like this at home, you save hundreds of dollars a year by not eating out. You eat healthier, and are encouraged to have many more side dishes that are healthy as well. You can trust Coleman, they make the best, and their products are of awesome quality.
