Can't beat it for the price
Pros:
Cheap. Very simple to use. Works with any operating system.
Cons:
Apparently no way to set up playlists. Supplied earphones are garbage.
The Bottom Line:
As an MP3 player, it's no frills. Price and simplicity make it a recommended buy, though.

This piece of hardware, while it has really no frills at all, is pretty much unbeatable for the price. For under $25 you get a 1GB USB 2.0 flash drive, and as a bonus it happens to be able to operate as a standalone MP3 player too.
Cosmetically, the AAA battery makes a bulge on the bottom of the unit, but overall it isn't the biggest USB stick I've ever seen. It still slips easily into any pocket. Because of the bulge, however, the unit is designed to plug into your USB port upside down, which means you can't see the activity LED unless you use the supplied USB extender cable.
The supplied earphones are very strange; besides having the usual "Y" cable, they also have another cable running directly between the two earpieces. The junction of the "Y" also has a little string loop from which you can hang the MP3 player. It's a very clumsy arrangement, but you probably won't have much opportunity to be annoyed by it because these are the worst earphones you will ever see; they sound terrible, they feel horrible in your ear (hard plastic! no covers!) and they fall out at the slightest movement of your head. Throw them away, use something else, and the audio quality is perfectly acceptable.
