The Bottom Line: If you are looking for a dirt-cheap DVD player it might be worth it- you may get lucky and not have any problems.
Review: I bought this DVD player as a cheap replacement for a DVD player I don't use very much. Price was the only consideration and Fry's electronics had 2 players at this price point. I chose the Coby because the remote had a better layout.

THE COBY DVD-224 - the dirt cheap region free player rocks the house!

Disposable DVD player

Review: Good for VCD/SVCD and it also plays DVDs. It plays both NTSC and PAL discs and is simple to make it region free.

I've purchased 5 of these to date (3 for myself and 2 for family members). Great for the kids rooms.
