Author's Review
I purchased this camera as a second to my 6 megapixel NIKON, and replace a new A430 Canon that ate AA batteries.
The price was certainly 'right' and I never expected a low priced camera was going to do much for me. But I found that it can deliver a picture as good as the Nikon(sometimes better), and at less than a third the price. It has a built in help menu that is handy if one forgets a detail and the book is miles away. Its menu is simpler than most, but has a few less features, but still maintains all the basics. Its an easy camera to carry, fits easily in purse or shirt pocket, best of all it's not hard on batteries. I use 2500 mAh rechargables which will take 90 pix(without flash) AND download them. I have had no problems with the camera in four months.
Software is another issue, first it took almost an HOUR to install, then the update for almost half hour. I have an Intel 2.93gHz Comp with Cable Internet. The software reorganizes itself every time you start the program and has a filing order of date that always goes to default. When downloading from camera there are no choices for picture file names. It's Editing is average to poor. It will share or email pictures in a good mail size, but one CAN NOT Email a full size pic file from the program. I am starting to use my Canon software, or PHOTOSHOP for downloads and filing, with less hasseles.
