Great price and design, adequate reception and sound.

I got it for 5.99 at Big Lots - I've noticed that you're likely to pay $10 online. It's tiny (about the size of a pack of cigarettes), the smallest radio with a speaker I've found. It's silver and kinda cool looking. As someone who doesn't wear a watch, having the clock function in such a portable device is invaluable. The sound is better than you may expect from a radio this small. It's easier to use than similar items I've owned - I like that the power and band functions are push button instead of slide, this makes it easier to control. I love the digital display - it's a lot quicker to tune in a favorite station. I carry this radio with me all over the house. The traditional rectangular shape makes it convenient for perching on various countertops or bathtubs or whatever - a nice alternative to the rounded personal radios that seem popular these days. The reception leaves a little to be desired, but for a radio of this price and size, getting a few major stations is fine. This works with 2 AAA batteries, so it's lightweight. The sound with earphones is surprisingly good too. And have I mentioned it looks really cool?!
