Clinique Soft Pressed Powder Blusher

Makeup is very important to me. Half the time I wear none, but there are occasions when I need to wear makeup and achieve a certain look. Whether it be a day trip to the hot springs or a night out dancing, I pretty much have tried all the different brands that high end department stores carry. I have three major companies I use frequently. During the day, almost 100% of the time I wear Clinque.

Clinique markets their makeup to a younger clientele. So the majority of what you will find at their counter is very subtle, natural, colors and applications. I wear everything their line produces from lip liner to blush.

Today I want to tell you about my most cherished blush, Clinique Soft-Pressed Powder Blusher.

I found this blusher at a young age while digging through my mothers Gucci bag. Once I found it, I kept it. I never told her that I "lifted" her blusher from her purse, but somehow she just knew. She wore the same color, same brand, everyday for the majority of her life. She even gave me her makeup bag before she passed away and inside was a brand new compact of Clinique's FIG blush. Her favorite color. Now mine too.

I wear this daily. It is very lightweight and natural looking. Inside the compact it appears to be dark, but looks are deceiving. It goes on perfectly, no streaking or blotchy places. Just a sheer dusting of natural color. It is perfect for day use, because regardless if you wear foundation or not, it always looks natural.

They make a wide array of colors all in a matte finish. A lot of companies add shimmer to their blushes which makes application cleaner but it also tends to highlight the slightest skin imperfections or wrinkles. This has no shimmer or glitter- just a plain matte finish.

Clinique's blush comes in many hues that will fit almost any complexion. I like the FIG, on my olive colored skin it appears to be a very light peach. My sister, who has very fair skin also wears the FIG and it appears to be a very light peach. There seems to be no variance between skin tones and their palettes of color.

You get a lovely green, marble like, compact that has a full size mirror and a applicator brush. The compact has a silver tab with Clinique's name and when you press it, it will unlock the compact. This is an amazing feature because a few years back it opened the old fashioned way-pulling the top and the bottom away from another. Sometimes they would open themselves in the bottom of your makeup bag. It is a great improvement in the packaging.

All Clinique Soft-Pressed Powder Blusher is .27 ounces. It 100% fragrance free and is allergy tested. All of their blushes are in neutral colors which make the most made up face seem to be perfectly natural looking. Would you believe it is actually made right here in the USA? Wow!

Their sales people are very friendly and do not mind helping you choose what colors work best with your skin tone. They also instruct you in choosing Clinque products that fit your routine and skin type. None of their make up products have ever clogged my pores, (or my mom's, or sister's) so you are less likely to experience breakouts while using this product.

I will warn the consumer-if you buy this blush expect it to crumble once the product is nearly at its end. A suggestion would to be use the applicator brush on the corners on the blush instead of sweeping it across the entire palette. Applied daily this blush will last longer than the time that is allotted for keeping beauty products due to bacteria.

I also recommend using a larger fuller brush of your own to apply this blush. It takes far less time and application is easier.

You will love the soft, silky feel of this blush and at the same time hardly know you are wearing it at all. Priced at 14.50 at local department stores, this blush is a steal!
