No updates offered

I've had this unit for a few months now and had time to use it on a few trips. The navigation software doesn't have the most up to date maps on it and unfortunately Clarion does not list anything about updates to download on any part of their site, however I did find something of interest on their site regarding updates, they license the mapping software through a third party so if there were major updates they would list them there. The GPS itself picks up the GPS satellite signals very quickly and doesn't have a problem if it's sort of hidden from the windows, another GPS receiver I have won't work unless it's directly under the window and can see out and takes a bit longer than the Clarion to find the satellites. The unit can also play MP3 files and connect to bluetooth phones but you can't do either of these while navigating, or at least not to my knowledge. The user interface is also a bit hard to navigate through, I'm a tech nerd and I even have some trouble when adjusting the settings. On the positive side the screen is very large and is very easy to see while driving and the touch screen is fantastic.
