Good starter DVD-CD direct printer. Baseline photo quality.

I only got this printer for one thing only - to print directly onto printable blank CDs and DVDs. All old legacy home movies have been transferred onto over a hundres blank DVDs (some mailed to grandparents and cousins), labels printed onto them, and the printer still works.
At one point, it had an annoying habit of getting stuck at the end of printing to the dvd, unless you give the dvd holder a gentle tug to ease it out. Moving the printer out of the suspect table onto level ground seems to stop that from happening again. Either way, even if the problem is caused by unlevel table, this is too sensitive for the normal user.
I occasionally printed a few photographs and the quality while not stellar, is more than adequate for non critical archiving.
I buy my ink in bulk from online auctions and avoided the cost of the epson inks. There are 6 individual ink cartridges. (This is one printer where the replacing with original inks will quickly cost more than the printer).
