It's in the hole!

Sometimes a line that's not funny on the page is hilarious in the delivery.

And that's both the problem and the plus with Bill Murray's new book, Cinderella Story: My Life in Golf. It's lacking only one thing: Bill Murray there to read it for you. Along with Dennis Miller's 'Rants,' it's the kind of book where it helps to know how the author would say it out loud. So it's up to the reader to work his or her way through the sentences, sometimes re-reading a paragraph to discover all the hidden gems.

And there are a lot of gems in this story of how Bill Murray became, and remains, a devoted aficionado of the game of golf.

Wry, sharp and full of warmth for a game that has been described as "A good walk, ruined," Murray makes you wish he was your fourth.
