POWER to WEIGHT ratio - WHEEEEE!
Pros:
BEST bang for the buck I've ever seen, 150 horsepower in a light car! AWESOME!
Cons:
NONE! They're no longer giving them away for $11K now with the fuel crisis!
The Bottom Line:
Almost impossible to beat for versatility and overall cost. Great bang for the buck in performance with manual tranny!

Author's Review
I own a '78 Ferrari for when it's time to suck up the road in the twisties. However, I might drive it 120 miles a year, max. I got rid of my truck and got a PT with the "HAND SHAKER." I read in Consumers Reports that they were having a bit of trouble with the autos. Anyway, drove a brand new one (3 miles!) off the lot for $11K with air!!! The salesman tried, of course, to talk me into a TURBO automatic (for 2X the price). BANG for BUCK, this thing is the best value I've ever had in a car! Period! I really liked the keyless entry, electric windows, and outside temp reading. The auto versions seem a bit sluggish, but, I can squeeze tons of performance out of this light little road rocket. And for the price, I could care less if it blows up. I'm using Mobil One and a K&N with alloys from the junkyard. This little stinker is quick enough, and gets over 34mpg on the highway. Just take it to 35mph, put it in 5th and it's like an automatic. I have never had a single problem in 20K miles. I do my own maintenance. I take out the back seats with ease and can haul a bunch of stuff, including a couch, and a big TV. If Chrysler would have headed down the PT road with a hybrid, and other small offerings, they wouldn't be in the mess they're in. So sad!
