A worthy sequel to Chrono Trigger.

by   t13monkeys ,  Aug 21, 2000
Pros: awesome plot, graphics, music, FMVs
Cons: battle system's a bit weird, no levels up
Review: To be honest, I saw the strange looking characters in the previews and didn't think this could live up to the original. Still, I went with the good reviews (mostly 4.5/5 at gamepro, etc.) and bought the game the day it came out.

So after...

Three words, get this game.

by   t13monkeys ,  Aug 27, 2000
Pros: best music, fun gameplay/plot, great leveling system
Cons: 5 types of armor??, lack of subquests
Review: Now that I've had this game for a couple of weeks since its US release, I can write a more complete review on it. In my pre-release opinion, I basically discussed graphics and music. In this review I will focus on gameplay but first lets get the basics...

Chrono Cross ~ Characters, Elements, Items and Techs~

by   Shanny21 ,  Nov 3, 2000
Pros: Play value, Graphics, Story Line, over all a great game
Cons: ??? You man have no social life after getting this game LOL
Review: One of the most amazing RPG games to come along in years. Sony's Playstation Chrono Cross has proven to be an intiesing, time consuming game. With over 50 hours of play time for one game and 44 playable characters, you will always find something...

Chrono Cross: Square Strikes Again

by   Mike_Bracken , top reviewer in Games at Epinions.com ,  Nov 20, 2000
Pros: Beautiful graphics, 40+ playable characters, loads of replay value, and an engrossing story are just a few of the factors that make this game great
Cons: some of the boss battles are a little too easy
Review: Back in 1995, as the Super Nintendo was nearing the end of its reign as the most dominant home console system on the market, RPG giants Squaresoft released a game that would become a certifiable classic--Chrono Trigger, a title that many...

Beyond all time this game shall stand

by   32_Footsteps , lead in Games at Epinions.com ,  Aug 11, 2000
Pros: Wonderful sound, challenging, takes alot of thought
Cons: You may need a translator for parts of the game
Review: (Note: A copy of this game was provided to me by Squaresoft.)

Every so often, a game comes out that totally surprises you with its play. The last time this happened to me, I played Chrono Trigger, a classic role-playing game for the Super...

Chrono Cross: Worth the wait?

by   offspringer ,  Aug 17, 2000
Pros: Gorgeous graphics and sound; occasional references to Chrono Trigger; impressive battle system
Cons: Still no voiceovers; kiss your social life goodbye!
Review: After almost five years of waiting, the sequel to Chrono Trigger, the popular Super Nintendo RPG, has finally arrived here in the US, and in a word, it is amazing. With slick full-motion video, beautiful graphics and sound, fun combat, and more than a...

The Element of Surprise...

by   Uchuuzoku ,  Sep 6, 2000
Pros: Beautifully composed music and visually stunning graphics.
Cons: Only two dimensions, and the game seems short.
Review: Shall I start, perhaps, by mentioning that this is the long-awaited sequel to a great SNES Roleplay-adventure, or has that already been overstated? Simply put, this is a good game. Perhaps not the best game ever made, but it has passed the trials and has...

Chrono Cross: Travel between worlds to save all of reality

by   zhouse ,  Jan 19, 2001
Pros: The long awaited sequel to Chrono Trigger. Storyline hints at first game.
Cons: The game is very addicting.
The Bottom Line: I highly recommend Chrono Cross. It's the sequel we have all been waiting for.

Chrono Trigger Again, Only A Whole Lot Better

by   bigmatt ,  Jun 13, 2001
Pros: Very easy to learn, Auto-Accent System adds originality to the game
Cons: Could have added a bit more detail to the monsters
The Bottom Line: If you have it, play it endlessly; if you don't have it, get it. This one has so much excellent work in it, you shouldn't miss it!
Review: The long-awaited sequel to Chrono Trigger is all that was expected -- and more. If you've ever played Chrono Trigger for SNES, the best ending includes a room where a robot asked Crono if he would like to see a sequel to the game. I don't know about...
