Author's Review
This is another alcohol opinion for the average Joe. I
needed an alcoholic beverage for our annual XXX-mas party
that my friends have, so I decided to pick up a bottle of
Chopin Vodka after reading an opinion on this
website ( thanks to Liquored for his opinion ). It costs the
same as Belvedere, a great vodka, and is imported from
Poland by the same company. In fact, even the bottles look
similar, very tall, slim bottles of frosted glass, topped with a
cork instead of a screw off cap. This makes you feel way
more stylish than when you imbibe in a lesser vodka.
However, these facts, in addition to comforting me about
dropping $30 for a brand of vodka I had never tried, also
made me worry that the product was going to taste the same.
I am no expert on alcohol, and I thought that I really
wouldnt be able to taste the difference between to very nice
vodkas, but I was wrong. Even I could tell that this vodka
was far superior to any I had tried before. The taste was
extremely mild, with almost no noticeable burn. Thats
saying a lot for me, I swear I could probably experience that
feeling from a glass of water. This vodka was smooth and
pleasant to drink. When I found myself out of cranberry juice
and orange juice I resorted to mixing it with a bottle of Ocean
Spray Cran-Grape that I had in the refrigerator. Sort of a
poor womans Cape Cod. Even mixed with the Cran-Grape
this stuff was amazing. It tasted like some kind of a kool aid
cocktail, so maybe it was more like a rich womans bottle of
mad dog.
Which ever may be the case, this vodka is excellent and
instead of suggesting you buy some for yourself, I must
demand that you run to the nearest liquor store and
buy a bottle of Chopin Vodka for your very own. It
will make any mixed drink taste wonderful, though I dont
suggest wasting it on the Cran-Grape ( unless you just need
to get really drunk on the good stuff ). This vodka is easy to
drink even for the wimpiest of us drinkers, you know, those
of us who dont want to taste our drinks. And seasoned
alcoholics will appreciate its subtlety. Drink up and enjoy.
