Product Review

Not For Use as a Primary High Chair

by   tonyzwife ,   Mar 14, 2008

Pros:  Machine washable cover, small & portable, does hold weight and remain firmly attached

Cons:  Time consuming and difficult to set up and clean

The Bottom Line:  Good for grandparents to use on occasional visits. Wouldn't recommend for parents to use at home or for going out to eat.

Overall Rating: 2/5 stars

Author's Review

My husband and I got these for our boys back when we lived in a VERY small apartment, and they had just started eating table foods.

The packaging said that they were machine washable and quick to attach and remove from the table. However, we found these high chairs to be very difficult to use.

When attaching the chair to the table it takes a couple of minutes of twisting the knobs to ensure that the chair is properly attached. The same twisting is required for removal.

This chair grabs onto grime and won't let go! We could NEVER get this thing clean. Plus, it took a feat of herculean strength to get the cover off of the chair for washing.

Whenever my boys were using the chairs, food would always fall to the floor via the little gap between the chair and table. Mind you, they weren't even feeding themselves yet.

On the plus side, as advertised they DO hold a lot of weight. I could see a grandparent or aunt/uncle getting this one for when the little kiddos came over.

Also it is small, light and relatively portable (it's a bit of trouble to get the seat into the bag that comes with it, though).
