The Bottom Line: If you can afford this travel system, I would HIGHLY recommend it.
I bought this travel system because my daughter was a preemie and we liked the fact that it included the padded newborn insert for babies 4-11 pounds. Also it was one of the safest car seats listed by Consumer Reports. Previously we had a different car seat and it was very difficult to get into and out of the base. This car seat could not be any easier to get in and out of the base. You just hover it near where it locks into the base and gentle let it go and it practically drops into place. No wrestling required. The fact that it can accommodate children up to 30 pounds is a big feature. Rear facing is the safest way for a child to ride in the car so this allows you to have your child rear facing an additional 8 pounds longer than most standard infant car seats.
The stroller is big but is very easy to maneuver.I've never had a problem getting the stroller through store aisles when shopping. It goes fairly well on gravely paths for short distances, but I wouldn't take it off road for longer trips. It's a bit bulky and takes up a fair amount of trunk room, but still is fairly light weight. It is easy to collapse and also to unfold. The memory recline feature is handy. I like the adjustable handle height.
