Not for tall people, controls impossible to find

Date of Review: Sep 7, 2006

The Bottom Line:  Would not buy or recommend this for buying.
I have not owned one of these, but my husband and I rented one for a couple of days on a trip we took to CA. It was horrible. The controls were put in places that were impossible to find. It took us 5 minutes to figure out how to open the hatchback to put our luggage in. Then we couldn't figure out how to get the windows down as the controls were in the middle of the car and not on the door for the windows. Of course there was no instruction booklet in the car, since this was a rental. In addition to that, the inside of the car is not very big and the windshield is so short vertically that it is very hard to see out of. My husband and I are 5 foot 10 and we both had to put the seat almost all the way back just to see out of the windshield safely so we could see everything, because it was so short, vertically you can't see everything. I would never buy one for these reasons and am glad we got the chance to drive one so we know which car we don't want. Thank you
