The new Uplander

We rented this van in late Aug. of this year. I only got to drive it once or so, but since i didn't drive i enjoyed the DVD player. I really liked that it comes standard with the DVD player so you don't have to pay more for the rental car. The back seats where a little narrow for my liking but everthing else in the interior wasn't to bad. The only big drawback was the third row sets didn't fold down at all so i had to completely take them out of the car, but not that big of a deal. We drove it about 1500 miles in two days and it didn't have any strange noises or weird things. Toward the end of the trip i did drive to the store and i really didn't like how it drove very much. The acceleration felt delayed. You hit the gas and have to what for the motor to catch up with you. Pretty irritating. I liked the steering and braking and i probably could get used to the acceleration but it felt like it wasn't suppose to be like that. If i was in the market for a minivan i would consider the Uplander (or its Buick sister) very seriously.
